How to find "your" camping furniture?
Just ask yourself the following six questions:
- What for?
What do I want to use my camping furniture for? Is a side table enough, or should it be a kitchen cabinet ? Camping lounger, or Camping chair with footrest? - How big?
Do you really need the 6-person camping table even though there are only two of you? Isn't the big camping lounger a bit big for a short weekend by the pond? What else actually fits in the boot? - How small?
The question arises when space is limited. Do you quickly "squish" a folding chair into a small gap in the camper van? Or do you have enough space to store the upholstered high-back chair in the rear garage? - How heavy?
A crucial question for a camping holiday: what about the load capacity in mobile homes and caravans? Is there still room for improvement? Do you want to take your camping furniture to the beach? Then you should take a look at the weight of your new camping furniture. - Who is it for?
Are you going on holiday alone, as a couple or with the family? Do you have many visitors? All this should factor into the decision. Are two comfortable camping chairs and a small table enough? Or should it be a whole seating area with a camping kitchen? - How expensive?
Of course, money also plays a role when buying camping furniture. Here, however, you should not only pay attention to the wallet, but also to the goods on offer. Too cheap is often only suitable for one-time use and can be very annoying.

How do you recognise good camping furniture?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, and even as a professional, you can sometimes be taken for a ride. But you can definitely pay attention to a few points:
The Ratings
Here at Berger Camping, you as a customer can help other customers to choose the right camping products. Please rate the purchased items honestly. Because you help other customers and us with your review. But you should also take a look at the ratings.
Hinges & Joints
The hinges of chairs, tables and camping kitchens are often a weak point. Sturdy plastic or aluminium should be used here. At least a second look should be taken at the moveable parts of your camping furniture, if they make a good and stable impression, then everything should be OK. Because almost nothing is worse than sitting in a cheap camping chair that could break a joint at any moment. You should also keep an eye on the load limit of the chair and table.
Is it weatherproof?
If you move your camping furniture inside when it rains, this paragraph does not apply to you. Otherwise, it helps to take a look at the materials, for example the tabletop of your camping table. Tabletops that are not weather-proof are great for the awning, but they are a bit of a strain for outdoor use. After a few days of rain, the tabletop may swell and you won't have any fun with your camping table. Upholstered chairs are nice, but may not dry quite as quickly as the folding chair without upholstery.
Buying camping furniture is not witchcraft, but with a more critical eye you can separate the wheat from the chaff. With the Berger camping furniture we pay attention to a very small pack size, stability and light weight at a favourable price.
