Absorber coolers are particularly popular because they can be operated with gas without any problems, but these coolers can also be operated with electricity. If gas is used as the energy source, the box is connected to a standard gas cylinder or a special cartridge is connected to the appliance, depending on the model. Cooling with butane gas can be very advantageous, especially in areas where electricity is not available at every corner. Especially when it is very hot, food quickly becomes inedible. This can be remedied by storing it in a self-sufficient absorption cooler.

Absorber coolers offer powerful performance

The sophisticated technology makes the absorption cooler a product that definitely justifies a purchase. The way they work differs significantly from compressor coolers or devices with thermoelectrics. Absorption coolers work with a mixture of water and ammonia. Ammonia and water are separated by heating with a flame (heat effect). The ammonia is then liquefied again in a condenser, releasing heat into the environment. In the evaporator, the aggregate state of ammonia changes back to gaseous, which creates the cooling effect in the absorber cooler. At the end of the cycle, the water is recombined with the ammonia in the absorber.quiet and maintenance-free coolersSince the design is quite uncomplicated, no major maintenance is required and expensive repairs are saved. This type also has a very low noise level. This is very advantageous if the appliance is to be placed right next to the sleeping area on vacation. The insulation of the cool box is very important. Here, attention should be paid to a solid and high-quality design. This is why very cheap absorption coolers are usually not recommended.
