Ansmann ALCT 6-24/2 battery charger 6 V / 12 V / 24 V

Thanks to numerous features, the ALCT 6-24/2 ensures safe and gentle charging and guarantees optimum performance and long service life of lead batteries. After successful contacting of the terminals, the device automatically detects the voltage of the connected lead-acid battery and indicates this by the corresponding LED on the display. Depending on the voltage, a charging current can be selected via the "MODE" button, whereby car batteries can be charged very quickly, but also small motorcycle batteries can be charged very gently.

The charging currents are as follows: 0.5A at 6V, 12V, 24V / 1A at 12V, 24V / 2A at 12V. If no setting is made, charging takes place with the preset charging current of 0.5A. The charger can charge lead-gel, lead-fleece and lead-acid in the voltage 6V, 12V, 24V.

The charger automatically detects when the connected battery is deeply discharged and charges it gently by pulsating charging currents for 20 minutes until a sufficient basic voltage for the normal charging process is reached. If the battery is permanently connected to the charger for winter storage, the charger detects any loss of capacity and then automatically recharges. This prevents deep discharge. Batteries for motorcycles, motorboats, lawnmowers, etc. will thus survive the winter well and be ready for use at any time if required.

At low temperatures below 5°C, the voltage level of the battery changes, which is why the connected battery cannot be fully charged to 100% during normal charging. This can be avoided by selecting the "COLD TEMP" mode via the "MODE" button.

If the terminals are attached the wrong way round, the LED on the display will light up red. A long cable of 2.0m is particularly practical and allows charging without an extension cable. Thanks to a special charging process developed in-house with charging current control and overcharge protection, the battery is automatically switched to trickle charge after it has been fully charged. This means that the battery is not overcharged and can remain connected to the charger for a longer period of time.

The ALCT 6-24/2 is suitable for standby parallel operation, i.e. it can remain connected to the battery continuously and always keeps it full, even if the battery is loaded/discharged at the same time.
