Protects the vehicle battery from deep discharge

Ideal for using an electric cooler 12V on a cigarette lighter or 12V socket in the vehicle.

The battery monitor switches off the cooler when the battery voltage is low and automatically switches it on again at normal voltage, preventing deep discharge of the car battery. Suitable for all 12V consumers connected to a cigarette lighter/ 12V socket. The maximum continuous connected load is 6A.

If during operation the on-board voltage drops below 12.2 VDC (± 0.2 VDC), measured directly at the vehicle battery, the battery monitor disconnects the connected load from the on-board power supply. The red low voltage LED will then illuminate.

NOTE: The battery monitor has a 5-second shutdown delay feature to prevent the connected load from being disconnected from power during engine startup.

Automatic power-on
After shutdown, the connection is restored from a voltage of 13.2V DC (± 0.2V DC), measured directly at the vehicle battery. The red low voltage LED is off and the green ready LED is on.

For safety
If the on-board voltage during operation is above 16 VDC (± 0.2V DC), voltage measured at the vehicle socket, the battery protection disconnects the connected load from the on-board power supply. The red low voltage LED will then flash.

The maximum continuous power is 6A. The battery protection has an overload and a short circuit protection. In this case, the output is shut down.

USB dual port
The voltage monitor also provides two USB ports with a total of 5V DC 3.1 A. Two loads can be connected at the same time if together they do not exceed 3.1A continuous current. The USB output has overload protection. The integrated voltage shutdown and recovery as well as the integrated overvoltage protection also apply to the USB function.
