Product description
LUIS Turn Assistant TURN DETECT with 7" monitor, GPS, steering angle sensor and camera holder.
The LUIS TURN DETECT is compliant with the requirements of the BMVI recommendation for turn assistants:
Detection area of at least 2.5 m x 6 m
Can be activated by direction blinker (turn signal) and speed (GPS). Speed range adjustable.
Differentiation between moving objects such as cyclists and static objects (such as parked cars, etc.)
Two-stage warning: purely optical for cyclists in the danger zone and additional acoustic warning by activation of the turn signal and/or steering lock
Information of the driver in case of malfunction (e.g. defective camera)
A general operating permit (ABE) has been issued by the Kraftfahrt Bundesamt (KBA), regardless of the vehicle type. However, a mounting area of the camera sensor system must be observed:
Minimum mounting height of 1.80 m (maximum 4 meters)
Distance to vehicle front min. 1 meter /max. 6 meters
external alarms (e.g. an LED warning light, side marker lights) can be activated via an additional control output (I/O).
The system includes a wide-angle camera, the control box, a GPS module, a buzzer, a steering angle sensor, a camera holder as well as the LUIS 7" monitor Professional and the necessary cables.
It goes without saying that all components of the LUIS turn assist system TURN DETECT® undergo our comprehensive and stringent quality assurance process with 100% routine testing in all key manufacturing steps.
The LUIS Turning Assistant "TURN DETECT®" is purely an information and warning system that merely supports the driver of a vehicle. The system does not take over or replace the duties and functions of a vehicle driver at any time or in any way. The vehicle driver remains fully responsible for driving the vehicle, fulfilling the road safety obligations incumbent upon him or her, and complying with the legal requirements for road safety.
After installation of the system, an acceptance test must be carried out by a technical inspection agency.
