The wind- and waterproof foil reflects 90 % of the body heat. It is more stable than the foil of a rescue blanket and due to the bag shape also better suited for an emergency bivy. The Ultralite Bivy should be part of every first aid kit to provide crucial assistance when needed. The ripstop nylon pack sack has room for some additional emergency equipment - such as a small headlamp.
