Büttner Elektronik MT BCB 60/40 IUoU Battery Control Booster 12 V

The battery control boosters with higher output power from 30A to 60A are the ultimate 3-in-1 solution for optimal charging of the on-board battery(ies). They are installed in parallel to the already existing charging technology, but can also be provided as a stand-alone charging center.

You charge with 30A or 40A on the 230V mains and also while driving the on-board battery with the most modern IUoU characteristic. Once set to the battery type, the battery control booster takes over the complete charge monitoring. The charge is monitored with temperature sensors and is not only designed for liquid acid/gel or AGM batteries. Li-FePO4 can also be charged.

On the 230V mains: With 30A or 40A the already existing charger is supported or are available as sole IUoU charge. If required, the charging power can be reduced by 10A in each case. In addition, it is possible to minimize the charging power at the push of a button on the control panel in the case of weakly fused parking spaces.

While driving: With the booster function, the battery control booster also optimizes charging while driving. IUoU charging is also active here and, depending on the state of charge, full charging is supported with 30A to 60A. Voltage losses due to long charging cables are fully compensated. A full charge is thus guaranteed for longer driving distances, while overcharging of the on-board battery is ruled out. If required, the booster power can be reduced by 10A at a time.

Pulser function: The MT Battery Control Boosters not only have a long-term charging program and can therefore remain permanently connected to the 230V mains, but a "pulser" is also integrated to prevent the battery from failing prematurely due to sulfation.

Note for vehicles with integrated charging electronics (EBL): Some vehicles (Hymer Group and others) are equipped with EBL electronics or central charging electronics. To integrate the BCB 30/30/20 and BCB 40/40/30 in these vehicles, an additional high load relay is required, which is integrated into the existing charging line

Details

• Specially developed for travel vehicles: Solar modules for motor homes and caravans are subjected to different stresses than those for domestic systems! Thus, for mobile use, the junction boxes must be pressurized water-tight (driving wind) and the soldered connections must be specially designed for the vibrations that occur. The frame construction also requires a special design to compensate for any torsion and uplift forces that may occur.
