OptiMate lithium - battery performance guaranteed!

The new OptiMate lithium protects your investment and ensures that your LiFePO4 / LFP battery is and remains as powerful as it was designed to be - for a long time. With the OptiMate lithium's available charge current of up to 5 amps and the unique ampmatic™ multi-stage program, the unit charges and balances the individual cells of a battery quickly and efficiently. OptiMate Lithium's maintenance program powers the connected vehicle, protects and maintains the battery at 100% charge.

Functionality

  1. Pre-qualification test: OptiMate Lithium displays the battery condition before charging begins and measures the ambient temperature. The ampmatic™ charging program is selected according to temperature and battery condition.
  2. Recovery with low voltage: The safeTº Protection Mode monitors the charge during this sensitive battery RESTORE MODE to ensure that a deeply discharged battery is properly and safely restored. The tests are performed without interruption during the SAVE program. This will determine whether the battery has been successfully restored and whether the MAIN CHARGE program can be continued.
  3. Main charge: The ampmatic™ processor actively adjusts the charging current to the capacity and condition of the battery. This way a complete charge is achieved within a very short time. The progress follows the ideal charge current curve for LiFePO4 batteries.
  4. Check for short-circuited / dead cells: The charging process is tracked using the ideal LiFePO4 charge curve. Internal damage can thus be detected and unnecessary charging of an unrecoverable battery avoided.
  5. Absorption and equalisation: For 10 minutes, the current flow is in pulses with voltage monitoring between 14.0 V and 14.3 V to enable cell voltage equalisation.
  6. Charge test: the voltage is limited to 13.6 V, while the ampmatic™ processor monitors the current consumption by the battery. If a sub-optimal charge is detected, the program repeats the recording cycle for 10 minutes.
  7. Voltage maintenance test: carried out for 30 minutes during which the battery does not receive any charging current. The 5 possible test results provide information about the general condition of the battery. If the result is green (voltage > 12,7 V), the test runs for up to 12 hours to check whether there is a greater self-discharge or a higher than expected current drain through the vehicle's electrical system.
  8. Trickle charge: The 12-hour maintenance charge cycle consists of 30-minute charge cycles at a voltage of 13.6 V alternating with 30-minute "pauses" during which no charge current flows. During trickle charging, the battery only receives current if there is a loss of voltage from the connected vehicle. A battery maintenance cycle occurs when the battery's state of charge has deteriorated significantly
    The voltage maintenance test and maintenance charge cycle are repeated 24 hours after the start of the first test and are repeated as long as the charger is connected to the battery.
    The alternating charge and 'pause cycles' of the maintenance program protect the battery from discharge by the connected vehicle and are ideal for unlimited and 100% safe long-term battery maintenance.
