Solar regulator for motorhomes and caravans. The solar regulator is specially designed for use in motorhomes and caravans and is suitable for all lead-acid battery types and makes (acid, GEL/dryfit, AGM/fleece and LiFePO4 batteries).
Through intelligent microprocessor control, the batteries are charged optimally with IU1oU2 characteristics. The solar controller works fully automatic and maintenance-free and offers the following functions:

- Charging output for on-board battery I, depending on battery type (lead or LiFePO4) either 3 or 5 charging programs.
- Charging output starter battery II: Separate secondary charging output with reduced charging current (12 V / 0.8 A or 1.5 A) for support charging and charge maintenance of the vehicle starter battery with protection against overcharging during long idle periods.
- The charging voltage is free of peaks and regulated to prevent overcharging of the batteries.
- Two battery charging outputs: automatic charging of the main or on-board battery (on-board I). Back-up charging as well as charge maintenance of the vehicle starter battery (Start II) with protection against overcharging.
- monitoring-free charging: Standard protection against battery back-discharge (in case of insufficient solar power e.g. dusk, night etc.), against overload and overheating.
- Buffer operation: Maintains charging characteristics even when operating simultaneously with loads on the battery.
- overcharge protection: regulates the charging current of the battery back in case of too much solar power and full battery, ensures the highest possible state of charge of the battery in case of power consumption by immediate recharging.
- "IU1oU2" charging characteristic: Defined charging voltage increase (U1) prevents harmful acid stratification and ensures equalization charging of the individual battery cells, then automatic trickle charging (U2).
- On-board filter: Built-in, allows easy parallel operation of the regulator with other charging sources, wind and gasoline generators, mains chargers, alternators, etc. on one battery.
- Connection for temperature sensor: Automatic adaptation of the charging voltage to the battery temperature. In cold weather, this results in a better full charge of the weaker battery; in summer temperatures, unnecessary battery gassing is avoided.
- Highly recommended if the battery is exposed to strong temperature fluctuations, e.g. in the engine compartment.
- Charging cable compensation: Voltage losses on the charging cables are automatically compensated.
- Plug-in ready for connection of Votronic solar display units LCD-Solar Computer S for optimal control of the system.
- Measurement output for EBL (electric block of the vehicle): Enables the convenient use of the (solar) current display built into the electric block to control the solar system. Please be sure to check the compatibility of your Schaudt electrical block (EBL) and the corresponding control and display panel in advance, as we cannot provide any warranty for this.
- Switching output "AES" (only SR 330-Duo Dig. and SR 530-Duo Dig.): Causes automatic switching of ELECTROLUX/DOMETIC refrigerators with "AES" (Automatic Energy Selector) from gas to 12 V operation in case of ample solar power surplus.
Loading programs
- 1 "Gel": charging program for gel batteries, characteristic IU1oU2: Tuned to sealed, gas-tight gel/dryfit batteries with fixed electrolyte, which generally require a higher charge voltage level and longer U1 holding times to achieve short charge times with particularly high capacity storage and to avoid long-term battery "starvation".
- 2 "AGM": Charging program for AGM/fleece batteries, characteristic IU1oU2: Intended for charging sealed, gas-tight AGM (Absorbent-Glass-Mat) batteries in lead-fleece technology, which require a particularly high U1 level with coordinated holding times for full charging and then a moderate U2 level for charge maintenance (plate and round cell technology).
- 4 "UNIVERSAL": Charging program for lead-acid/wet/AGM batteries, characteristic IU1oU2: Universal program for charging and charge retention of acid batteries in vehicles (mixed mobile/stationary). With medium U1 level, still provides short charge times, good charge factor and good acid mixing for open and closed, low-maintenance, maintenance-free standard, traction, lighting, solar and heavy duty batteries, as well as AGM batteries with normal U1 level.
- Li "LiFePO4": Charging program for lithium batteries, characteristic IU1oU2: Charging program adapted to lithium LiFePO4 batteries with own BMS and prescribed or built-in protective circuit.

- 4 "UNIVERSAL": Charging program for lead-acid/wet/AGM batteries, characteristic IU1oU2: Universal program for charging and charge maintenance of acid batteries in vehicles (mixed mobile/stationary).
