In-Car Dashcam
The DRV-A501W is the dashcam that thinks for itself and makes its owner feel safe. Its wide-angle Quad HD camera offers outstanding image quality in all lighting conditions thanks to HDR and polarizing filter. The recordings can be viewed immediately on the 3.0-inch widescreen LCD or sent to the smartphone via WLAN, GPS data, editing and upload included. The smart parking mode works with the integrated G-sensor and triggers a recording backup in case of jostling, so that every incident is documented, in cooperation with an optional rear camera also with a view to the rear. Finally, the Click & Go mount ensures that safe handling is added to the sense of security.

3.0-inch widescreen LCD
The DRV-830's built-in 3.0-inch widescreen LCD is easy to read thanks to its size, and displays video recorded in Wide Quad HD in impressive quality. The 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution of the recordings enables this image quality not only on the dashcam's screen, but also reproduces details with captivating sharpness when viewed via a PC monitor.

3.7 megapixel wide-angle shooting
Thanks to 3.7 megapixel recording, footage can be captured at a higher resolution (2560 x 1440) than Full HD (1920 x 1080). And thanks to the wide-angle lens with 126° viewing angle, all relevant details are included in the video.

Wireless Link with APP control
Those who want to conveniently operate the dashcam via their smartphone and view videos on a larger display can access the dashcam via WiFi. The integrated WLAN module establishes a wireless connection to Apple or Android smartphones, on which the free KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER - app must be installed. The app also enables a live view of the camera image, making it particularly convenient to precisely align the dashcam. A clear settings menu also provides access to important camera functions.

Parking mode
By using the optional CA-DR1030 connection cable for fixed installation, the dashcam is enhanced with the parking lot mode. The integrated G-sensor of the dashcam then triggers a recording backup in the event of a parking bump. Thanks to the video recording, it is then possible to find out how the incident occurred.

Integrated G-sensor
In the event of an accident, the DRV-A501W's 3-axis G-sensor detects both impact force and direction of collision, and automatically stores video before and after the event, protecting it from being overwritten.

Kenwood Video Player
The free "Kenwood Video Player" software is used to analyze the recorded videos. In addition to the video itself, it also displays a map of where the video was taken, a G-force history, and a speed indicator.

Click & Go mount
The Click & Go cradle is equipped with reinforced magnetic power connectors, making it easy to attach and take with you. The magnets on the cradle and dashcam are attracted to each other, creating a quick connection so you can start driving right away

Data protection mode for occasion-related, short-term recording of traffic events
By activating the privacy mode*, the dashcam records only short-term video sequences, which are permanently deleted again. Only occasion-related recordings caused by the 3G sensor are stored for a longer period of time. This function is available from firmware version V7.9.
