AirPoles from Dometic do not require maintenance. However, they should be protected from storage damage. Damage due to improper use, wind damage or negligence is not covered under warranty. Have any damage repaired at the first opportunity at a Kampa Dometic authorized repair facility.
Over time, AirPoles can become slightly twisted. This can be caused primarily by under-inflation of the awning, but also during set-up or tear-down. Such a problem can be corrected by realigning the tubes.
Shut-off valves on AirFrames need to be replaced after a certain period of time.

The water column provides information about the material tightness. To determine the millimetre value, 10 cm of fabric is stretched under a measuring cylinder and the cylinder is filled with water from above. The limit value at which water droplets press through the material is the maximum water column. In Germany, a tent outer material is considered waterproof from 1500 mm.
