The Rengade GTX Mid has a Vibram sole. The Italian sole manufacturer has been one of the leading brands in the field of high-quality soles for many years. The VIibram EVO is based on proven Vibram technology: multifunctional tread design with optimum rubber compound for hiking on a wide variety of terrains. Combined with the tried and tested heel profile for comfortable descents.

Guaranteed weather protection, even in heavy rain and snow: the RENEGADE GTX MID is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. This innovative technology ensures optimum waterproofness and breathability.

Double Injection
For effective cushioning and a high level of comfort, the sole of the Rengade GTX Mid is connected to the upper using a technically complex injection process. To do this, the upper shoe is placed in a specially manufactured mold. PU foam is then inserted into the mold in different layers. This creates the sole, which bonds directly with the upper to form a single unit.

Support Frame
In the Rengade GTX Mid model, the midsole in the form of the LOWA-MONOWRAP® frame ensures the best comfort. This is a three-dimensional midsole design developed by LOWA in 1995. This frame comfortably cradles the foot and supports it on uneven surfaces. In shoes with a SUPPORT FRAME, the sole construction is slightly raised.

Two Zone Lacing
Thanks to the two-zone lacing, the forefoot and upper of the RENEGADE GTX MID have separately adjustable lacing zones. This allows the shoe to be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced differently for walking uphill and downhill.

Sole: Vibram Evo

Midsole: 100% polyurethane (PU)
Polyurethane (PU) is a soft synthetic material that has very good cushioning properties and is therefore usually used in the midsole. The PU content makes the soles light and flexible in their function.

Insole: approx. 10% mesh, approx. 45% Memolatex and approx. 45% felt
Mesh fabric is made up of many small stitches, usually of polyester or nylon, and technically forms a grid created by interconnected threads. Thanks to its special processing technique, the synthetic fiber textile enables a particularly high level of air permeability, has a moisture-regulating effect and is easy to care for, airy and crease-resistant.

Felt is a textile fabric that is made up of disordered fibers that are difficult to separate. The textile structure is characterized by its high elasticity and insulating properties, making it particularly suitable for use in footwear as a component of insoles and as an insulating partition.

Memolatex is made of very soft latex foam. In addition to its lightness, Memolatex is also characterized by its supportive effect in the natural rolling movement of the foot and is therefore mostly used in shoe insoles. Furthermore, the Memolatex encloses the foot individually and thus offers a high comfort factor.

Upper material: approx. 100% nubuck leather
Nubuck leather is a full-grain leather that is lightly sanded on the grain side, giving the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather is characterized by the fact that it is particularly durable, robust and open-pored. Depending on the desired look, the nubuck leather can be left untreated or oiled or waxed.

Construction method: injection-molded construction
For optimum cushioning and comfort, the sole of LOWA multifunctional shoes is directly injected. This is a complex injection molding process that directly connects the knitted upper with the sole. As a result, the shoes have optimum cushioning and are particularly light.
