A giant step
There are several groundbreaking innovations that distinguish the Oyster V. A new chapter in the history of mobile antenna technology is opened. Go on reception! The height when folded is only approx. 17 cm (also with the TWIN version and with SKEW)! The reason for this is the clever design solution: the curved shape of the feed arm allows space-saving storage - without touching the roof and almost noiseless.

No matter how far you want to see
Europe, North Africa, Middle East. The Oyster V convinces with maximum range strength. The antenna mirror with a diameter of 85 cm plays a major role in this. The reception ranges indicated show the approximate core ranges. The range of the individual channels is not within the sphere of influence of ten Haaft. The respective satellite operators are solely responsible for the actual ranges. A continuation of the reception ranges shown here cannot be guaranteed for the future.

Simple operation according to choice "Oyster TV"
The "brain" of the Oyster is its control unit, the FeatureBox. It calculates and regulates. With the Vision variant, you communicate with the FeatureBox via the control panel, with the Premium variant you use your TV remote control for this. Thanks to the mobile phone app, you can now also control the FeatureBox with your SmartPhone. The basic operating functions are available and you can, for example, switch the antenna on or off from outside, change satellites or display the system settings. The FeatureBox can do more and is even slimmer.

Do not search. Find it!
The Oyster knows where the satellites are at all times. That's why there's no need for annoying all-round searches. The system aligns itself unerringly with the satellites.The reason for this technological advance is the interaction of three components: GPS, 3D compass and tilt sensor. The GPS determines the location, the 3D compass determines in which direction your vehicle (and thus the antenna) is pointing, the tilt sensor identifies a possible tilted position of the vehicle and initiates the exact compensation movement of the antenna. Especially the vehicle tilt is often underestimated. A few degrees have considerable interference potential. Prepared for changes
What a nuisance when the technical characteristics of the satellite signals suddenly change, you are on holiday somewhere in Europe and suddenly nothing works anymore. Often the only thing that helps is an update. Our technicians can program an update in a flash, but it still has to be installed on your satellite antenna. Your Oyster receives updates online via your smartphone (or alternatively via USB stick). This is anything but a gimmick. The update comes directly to your mobile phone and can be entered into the system from there. You can download a free app for your Oyster, which opens up a whole range of valuable possibilities in addition to the update function. For example, we will inform you immediately if we detect a change in satellite characteristics. You will then know what the cause of the malfunction is and receive the rescue update as quickly as possible. Your mobile phone is connected to the Oyster control via the app. If any technical malfunction occurs, it can be diagnosed with the Oyster app in most cases. This data can then be sent to customer service.

One cable is one cable
When we talk about the "one cable solution", we mean it. There is no other added for the power supply. We use a special coaxial cable that is responsible for the control, power supply and signal transmission of the outdoor unit. This makes installation a "minimally invasive operation". A single small hole is all that is needed. Of course, a second coaxial cable is added to the TWIN version.

No chance for wobbles!
The Oyster outdoor unit weighs just 11 kg. It's almost amazing that the stability has increased despite the weight reduction. And that is crucial. Not only for the proverbial "OysterV longevity", but especially for uninterrupted reception. Manufacturers who save money in the wrong place risk an unstable antenna system that is susceptible to wind. And with that, picture disturbances are pre-programmed. The stability of the Oyster is the result of resourceful engineering and state-of-the-art, high-quality materials, such as those used in racing. The mirror arm is made from a single piece of ultra-light magnesium. This makes it extremely stable and torsionally stiff at a low weight. The feed arm made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic also gains maximum torsional rigidity thanks to the precisely calculated struts inside. In plain language: It cannot be twisted. In addition, this well thought-out component provides space for the cable routing and the tilt sensor as well as the compass and the GPS sensor technology. If the antenna is equipped with SKEW (optional), this is also integrated into the feed arm and thus protected from wind and weather.

SKEW: Automatically more range
SKEW (pronounced Skju) is a small electric motor that automatically adjusts the LNB and thus noticeably increases the range of your Oyster. This optional equipment is recommended if you often travel in the southwestern and southeastern regions of Europe. Then SKEW is definitely worthwhile. While others have to climb onto the roof of their motorhome, SKEW does the job automatically. SKEW is integrated into the feed arm and thus protected from the weather and damage.

Don't reinvent the wheel
The swivel head technology has proven itself in tens of thousands of Oyster systems. We have refined it for the Oyster, but the principle remains the same: only the head of the antenna rotates, the antenna body is fixed. This means that less weight has to be moved. This reduces power consumption and mechanical stress and saves space. Even with a layer of snow, the Oyster remains mobile.

Oyster = Quality
The mixture of simple, solid technology and state-of-the-art electronics is decisive. Vulnerable "consumer goods" have no place at ten Haaft. We rely on proven "heavy-duty" components. The high requirements of automotive standards are our benchmark. For resistance to vibrations, mechanical shocks and extreme temperatures, automotive standards are extremely strict.
