1958: The first company headquarters
The first company headquarters was the parental estate in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. In a simple garage Fritz Berger opens a tent rental business.
1963: first company building
The first company building is erected in Regensburger Straße in Neumarkt. Just four years later, the company moves to Regerstraße for reasons of space.
1975: first package
The first package is sent. Berger Camping already has 40 employees.
1984: Caravan Manufacturer
Fritz Berger manufactures as Fritz Berger Textil GmbH its own brand range of caravan and motorhome awnings in Steinbühl in the Bavarian Forest.
1988: Death of the company founder
17.03.1988: Company founder Fritz Berger dies 30 years after Fritz Berger GmbH was founded.
1992: first leisure market
The first leisure market in the new federal states opens in Kesselsdorf near Dresden.
1998: Online-Shop
Fritz Berger launches an Online Shop, in which the complete catalogue range is listed.
2002: Megastore in Neumarkt
The Fritz Berger Megastore with 1,800 m² of retail space opens in Neumarkt.
The complete company moves into the same building at Fritz-Berger-Straße 1 in Neumarkt.
For the first time, the new catalogue has over 500 pages and is printed in a print run of one million copies.
2004: Berger Own Brand
The Berger own brand is created and the 1,000,000 package is sent. Here you can find all Berger own brand products in the online shop.
2010: Berger Vehicles
Berger Fahrzeug GmbH opens in Munich, Kressbronn and Neumarkt. Here, specialist staff provide support on all aspects of buying, renting and service.
2017: Relaunch
There is a complete relaunch of the online shop.
2016: Berger Catalogue
The Berger catalogue has over 555 pages for the first time. Here you can browse the current catalogue online or have it delivered to your home.
2018: 60th company anniversary
Fritz Berger celebrates its 60th anniversary. 371 people work at Fritz Berger to date.
2020: Berger Blog
The Berger Blog is born. Here you will find new articles in the categories Help & Advice, Inspiration, Travelling, Camping encyclopaedia and Berger family.
2021: new brand Camptime
Introduction of the brand Camptime. The Camptime range covers a wide range of camping accessories. Here you can find more information.
