How Berger product photos are created
A day at the photo shoot for Berger and Camptime
During the photo shoot, the pictures are taken for our Berger catalogue, online shop, our branches and partly also for the Berger blog. In this post I take you to a professional photo shoot.

The organisation starts well in advance
How does a photo shoot at Berger actually work? Weeks before the photographer can start his work, our advertising team puts together the latest articles of our Berger and Camptime brands in collaboration with the product management. Because they are the stars in front of the camera. To bring the photo to life, we have models recreate scenes from everyday camping life. All scenes should look real and of high quality, which is why we invite professional models as well as employees and their families to the photo shoots.
Procedure designed to be particularly child-friendly
Camping is a family affair. So it's great luck when we can get a real model family for the shoot. That makes the work easier when there are children on the set. In addition, the scenes look more natural when the little ones, together with their real parents, act in front of the camera.
All hands full
During the shoot, which can last between one day and a whole week depending on the theme and the effort involved, the models first go to make-up. A professional make-up artist styles, powders and creams each model for the right look.
There is plenty of choice for dressing on the set. Various trousers, tops and also accessories are available. While the models prepare, the team sets up the scenery and camping furniture. The awning is specially smoothed with hot steam so that it looks perfect in the pictures.
Conclusion: natural atmosphere, attractively captured
Good products want to be well presented. Therefore, a certain amount of effort is necessary for a product shoot. But we don't want the photos to look artificial in the end. A real camping atmosphere and visible joy in the models' faces are important criteria for every product image.
