Berger Soft Close telescopic ladder: sturdy ladder for repair and cleaning tasks
As we had to fix several issues on the roof of our motorhome, the Berger telescopic ladder was used multiple times. It was also a great help for cleaning the roof and removing pine needles. The ladder was used on both gravel and grass. In every situation, we felt safe and secure when standing on it.
Our first impression was very positive thanks to the low weight and the compact dimensions when retracted. The handling when extending the ladder is also very easy and convenient. In terms of quality, the ladder makes an excellent impression.
Berger aluminium ladder stands securely and is non-slip

When fully extended, the telescopic ladder reaches a length of 3.2 metres, which is perfect for our motorhome. It allows easy access to the roof and a comfortable descent after finishing the work.
Despite my weight of 92 kg, I always felt safe when using the ladder. Thanks to the hard rubber feet, it remains stable even on smooth surfaces, preventing any slipping. The top end of the ladder is also equipped with this rubber, which has a major advantage: the motorhome is protected from damage when leaning the ladder against it.
Berger Soft Close telescopic ladder: pack size and weight are excellent

With a weight of 11 kg, the ladder is perfectly reasonable considering its stability. The pack size when retracted is also very practical. In our motorhome, it takes up little space and can be easily stored in the rear garage.
Setting up and packing away the ladder is extremely easy. When extending it, each section locks into place with an audible click, giving a reassuring sense of safety. When retracting, the soft-close function becomes noticeable: the sections slide back smoothly and in a controlled way. The Velcro fastening also proves to be very practical in everyday use, keeping the ladder securely closed and preventing it from accidentally extending, for example during transport.
We consider the price of this telescopic ladder to be more than justified, especially given its excellent workmanship and quality. Overall, the price-performance ratio is very good.
Conclusion: indispensable for us
Our overall impression of the Berger Soft Close aluminium telescopic ladder is extremely positive. Both the workmanship and the quality are impressive across the board. Its quick usability and simple handling—both when extending and retracting—make it an indispensable companion on our travels. We wouldn’t want to be without it and would definitely buy it again.
