Product description
Empty, without activated carbon. Activated carbon is used for its reducing effect against organic, inorganic and harmful substances in water
It reduces taste and odor substances as well as chlorine, pesticides (lindane, DDT) and trihalomethanes (THMs). The substances are adsorbed by the large surface of the activated carbon. When they are completely loaded, the activated carbon can no longer be regenerated and must be renewed.
The capacity of the activated carbon granules depends on the water quality. The more the water is chemically or taste contaminated, the faster the capacity of the granulate of max. 200 liters per filling is reduced
If the water still has an unpleasant taste or odor despite the use of the filled activated carbon cartridge, the granules must be replaced. Regardless of the liter capacity, the activated carbon granules should be replaced after 6 months of continuous use at the latest.
