Jockey Wheel
A jockey wheel is a wheel attached to the drawbar of the trailer.
Jockey wheels are available with pneumatic or solid rubber tyres. They are attached to the drawbar by means of clamps and can be pushed up and tightened while driving.
They are not used during normal driving operation, but are used for stabilisation during manoeuvring and during parking when uncoupled.
Heavy-duty jockey wheels are available for heavy trailers, such as those used in agriculture.
