Product description
Connect 4G 5G LTE WLAN router with roof antenna incl. DAB+
The Berger router provides stable Internet via Wi-Fi or mobile radio in motorhomes or caravans. It is operated via the 12/24 V on-board power supply and creates a protected Wi-Fi network in the vehicle. The external antenna improves reception and overcomes the shielding of the vehicle shell.
Simple installation, dustproof and waterproof, operation via the browser - no app required. Supports campsite WLANs (Captive Portal), VPNs and has a DAB+ connection (FAKRA G) for vehicle radios.

In welchem Fahrzeug hast du den Berger Connect 4G 5G LTE WLAN Router verbaut?
„Knaus Sport 500 EU“
Wo hast du den Berger Connect 4G 5G LTE WLAN Router bereits genutzt?
„For testing, of course, at home in Germany, but also while on vacation in Denmark and the Netherlands.“
Nutzt du eine Sim-Karte oder den Wlan auf dem Campingplatz?
„So far, I’ve mainly used the device with a SIM card. I also tested the Wi-Fi functionality at home. I deliberately used the 2.4-GHz band because it offers significantly greater range compared to the 5-GHz band.
We have a 1,000 Mbit/s internet connection. Right next to the Wi-Fi router, I achieved a download speed of around 750 Mbit/s over the 2.4 GHz network. Our trailer is about 25 meters away from the router and is also separated from it by several walls of the house. Nevertheless, I was still able to achieve a download speed of approximately 650 Mbit/s in the trailer—an excellent result given the distance and the structural conditions.
By comparison: Using my smartphone on the same home Wi-Fi network, I only achieved about 300 Mbit/s inside the trailer. The device’s Wi-Fi performance therefore really impressed me in terms of range and speed.“
Wie gut ließ sich die Antenne und der Router einbauen?
„The package included everything needed for installation. It came with the right components for both a thin van roof and the sandwich roof of our travel trailer. Installation was very easy: After drilling the hole, the antenna was inserted with a small amount of sealant and then secured from below with the lock nut. The installation went quickly, and the antenna is now absolutely secure and stable.“
Wie leicht konntest du die Einrichtung vornehmen?
„Setup is often the most time-consuming part of installing an antenna, but in this case, it was surprisingly simple. You are guided step by step through the entire setup process until everything is fully configured and ready to use.“
Wie zufrieden bist du mit dem Internetempfang im Fahrzeuginneren?
„My impression is entirely positive. For comparison, I ran a speed test both with the SIM card inserted directly into my smartphone and with the same SIM card inserted into the router. On my smartphone, I achieved a download speed of about 86 Mbit/s, while I was able to reach around 146 Mbit/s with the router.“
Overall impression:
„My overall impression is very positive. I was particularly impressed by the easy installation, the straightforward setup, and the excellent performance both on Wi-Fi and over the cellular network. The long range and the significantly faster download speeds compared to a smartphone speak for themselves. Overall, the device offers excellent value for the price and comes highly recommended for anyone who relies on a reliable internet connection while traveling in a trailer or RV.“
