It’s a shame that the suction cups didn’t provide a reliable hold for you, despite multiple attempts and cleaning the surfaces beforehand. Good adhesion is, of course, crucial, especially when using suction cups.
To ensure the most reliable attachment possible, it’s important that the surface is smooth, clean, dry, and as non-porous as possible. On textured, slightly curved, or uneven surfaces, however, adhesion can be significantly reduced.
When using them on a RV door, it’s also important to keep in mind that wind and the movement of the door can exert additional forces on the suction cups. Therefore, only fastening systems specifically designed for this purpose should be used to securely hold a door in place in windy conditions.
We deeply regret that the suction cups did not provide the desired hold for you. Since this is one of our Berger products, we’re happy to take your feedback regarding adhesion and practical use into account as an important consideration for future product development.

Schade, dass die Saugnäpfe bei Dir trotz mehrfacher Versuche und vorheriger Reinigung der Oberflächen keinen zuverlässigen Halt gefunden haben. Gerade bei der Verwendung von Saugnäpfen ist eine gute Haftung natürlich entscheidend.
Für eine möglichst zuverlässige Befestigung ist es wichtig, dass die verwendete Oberfläche glatt, sauber, trocken und möglichst porenfrei ist. Auf strukturierten, leicht gewölbten oder unebenen Flächen kann die Haftung dagegen deutlich eingeschränkt sein.
Auch bei der Verwendung an einer Wohnmobiltür sollte berücksichtigt werden, dass durch Wind und die Bewegung der Tür zusätzliche Kräfte auf die Saugnäpfe wirken können. Für eine sicherheitsrelevante Fixierung einer Tür bei Wind sollten deshalb ausschließlich dafür geeignete Befestigungssysteme verwendet werden.
