Reliable anchoring is especially important for a windbreak measuring 500 × 140 cm, as the large surface area is subjected to greater stress as wind speeds increase. We can therefore well understand that it is frustrating when the included stakes and the supplied tent pegs do not provide sufficient support under these conditions.
On firm or particularly windy ground, it may be advisable to additionally secure the guy lines with sturdier tent pegs suitable for the specific ground conditions. In very strong winds, a windbreak should be taken down as a precaution due to the high stress placed on its large surface area.
We’ll gladly take your feedback regarding the length of the stakes and the sizing of the included tent pegs into account as an important point for further product development of our Berger product. Especially with a windbreak, the included fasteners should ensure the most reliable use possible.

Gerade bei einem Windschutz mit einer Größe von 500 × 140 cm ist eine zuverlässige Befestigung besonders wichtig, da die große Fläche bei zunehmendem Wind entsprechend stärker belastet wird. Wir können daher gut nachvollziehen, dass es ärgerlich ist, wenn die vorhandenen Stifte und die mitgelieferten Heringe unter diesen Bedingungen nicht ausreichend Halt bieten.
Bei festem oder besonders windigem Untergrund kann es sinnvoll sein, die Abspannung mit für den jeweiligen Boden geeigneten, stabileren Heringen zusätzlich zu sichern. Bei sehr starkem Wind sollte ein Windschutz aufgrund der hohen Belastung der großen Fläche vorsichtshalber abgebaut werden.
Deinen Hinweis zur Länge der Stifte und zur Dimensionierung der mitgelieferten Heringe nehmen wir bei unserem Berger-Produkt gerne als wichtigen Punkt für die weitere Produktentwicklung mit auf. Gerade bei einem Windschutz sollte die mitgelieferte Befestigung eine möglichst zuverlässige Nutzung ermöglichen.
