The latest generation of webOS has a clear user interface. It offers numerous personalization options and more convenience - for an even better user experience. On the home screen you will find an overview of your favorite apps and practical widgets such as a weather display. the Quick Cards give you direct access to all the content and services you use most often. The grouping into logical categories such as Home Office, Gaming, Music and Sport ensures clarity. The webOS operating system with ThinQ AI compiles personalized recommendations based on your viewing habits that match your preferences. This not only allows you to discover new, exciting content, but also to find your favorite topics even more quickly and easily. In addition, contrast, grayscale and colors can be individually adjusted to your preferences.

Simple operation

Say goodbye to tedious tapping on the remote control: with the Magic Remote, which comes as standard with Caratec, you can navigate intuitively and effortlessly through all menus. The clever remote control works just like a mouse pointer on the screen. Quick selection buttons for streaming services and a scroll wheel like a computer mouse make operation particularly convenient. Practical: The Magic Remote remote control of many Smart TV series is equipped with NFC. This allows you to send content from your cell phone directly to your TV at the touch of a button. For example, you can watch pictures or videos stored on your smartphone on the TV while continuing to use your smartphone as normal. The prerequisite for this is that the devices are on the same network. This is quick and easy with the Caratec router sets.

Intelligent voice control for even more convenience

You can also conveniently use voice control instead of the remote control. Thanks to webOS, the smart TV supports voice commands for both the ThinQ AI service and voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa. ThinQ controls device functions such as volume or channels as well as the search for content. The various voice assistants can be used to ask questions, control smart home applications, play music, open apps, read out messages and many other functions.

Picture quality

We know that installation locations in motorhomes and caravans are not always ideal. That's why all Caratec TVs are equipped with a panel that always provides an excellent picture when viewed from all sides. This means that even when viewed from an unfavorable angle, the picture quality does not deteriorate and colors and brightness remain largely unchanged.

Terrestrial reception

The built-in DVB-T2 HD receiver enables the reception of terrestrial TV programs. You can receive this digitally broadcast program in many areas of Germany. The public broadcasters are even available free of charge in HD quality. A CI+ module with subscription is required for private channels. The CAM fits easily into the CI slot of the device. A DVB-T2 antenna is optionally available.

Digital satellite reception

The built-in DVB-S2 receiver, in conjunction with a satellite antenna such as the Caratec CASAT series, allows you to receive your favorite channel at your vacation destination. The reception area depends on the aerial, but Europe is largely covered. With Caratec TV sets, you can receive many radio stations via satellite in addition to TV programs. The TV set has a CI+ slot for encrypted channels.
Setting up a TV set for satellite reception is often quite a chore. Not so with Caratec TV sets, as country-specific channel lists are already pre-installed and are updated automatically. This eliminates the need for a lengthy search in most cases and you are ready to go straight away.

HDMI connection

Although everything is already included, we have installed three HDMI connections. You never know. Additional devices can be connected to them. Of course, it is also possible to connect a games console with an HDMI connection. CEC control is integrated.

Housing

As compact as possible and yet sturdy. The housings of our TV sets are made to travel with you. They are therefore built more robustly than devices for home use. The housings are as flat as possible so that they fit on Caratec TV brackets even in tight installation positions.
The devices in the Exclusive series have an almost frameless panel. This makes them even more compact and elegant than the devices in the other series.

Sound

To be honest: it's hard to get a really great sound out of compact housings. However, as good sound is very important to us, we have continued to optimize the sound of the built-in speakers over the years. So that you can hear something even when rain is pattering on the roof and so that you can also understand dialog well. If you have slightly higher demands, we recommend taking a look at our CAS102 soundbar or the ""invisible soundbar"" CAS101BT.
Alternatively, you can of course also connect the TV to the vehicle's audio system via the headphone socket. Caratec has specially designed particularly stable cables with angled jack plugs for this purpose.

Energy consumption

Caratec TV sets use energy sparingly. Due to the EU regulation in force since March 1, 2021, they are classified in energy efficiency class E. Nevertheless, they do not consume any more energy than before, when they were still A or A+. This means you can watch TV for long periods without shore power: for example, a 22" device only draws around 2.5 Ah from the battery during a movie.

Developed for motorhomes and other motor vehicles

Caratec TV sets are designed for use in motor vehicles. They are therefore tested and approved in accordance with ECE R10. The built-in power supply unit is also specially designed for this application and therefore operates in a wide voltage range of 9-30 V. This means that the TVs are even suitable for trucks.

Accessories

The stand and power supply unit are available as options and are not included in the scope of delivery as they are not usually required for the TV set.
A 12V connection cable with a combination plug for the vehicle socket and cigarette lighter is included so that you are ready to go straight away.
