It’s a shame that the chimney shield couldn’t be attached to your Truma Combi wall-mounted fireplace as expected. Especially when it comes to accessories for a vehicle heater, it’s particularly important that the individual components fit reliably and that the intended function of the heating system isn’t compromised.
The chimney shield is designed to divert condensation away from the exterior wall-mounted chimney, thereby reducing water streaks and potential ice buildup on the vehicle’s wall. However, it is crucial that the specific model of the chimney shield is compatible with the existing wall-mounted chimney.
We take very seriously the fact that you were only able to install the chimney shield with considerable effort and that you noticed a significant restriction in the airflow. Such an installation should never be forced, as the heater’s air and exhaust flow must not be compromised.
We can therefore fully understand why you decided against using it under these circumstances.
We deeply regret that the fireplace shield did not meet your expectations regarding fit and ease of use, and we thank you for bringing this important issue to our attention.

Schade, dass sich das Kaminschild nicht wie erwartet an Deinem Truma-Combi-Wandkamin befestigen ließ. Gerade bei Zubehör für eine Fahrzeugheizung ist es besonders wichtig, dass die einzelnen Komponenten zuverlässig passen und die vorgesehene Funktion der Heizungsanlage nicht beeinträchtigt wird.
Das Kaminschild dient dazu, entstehendes Kondenswasser vom Außenwandkamin abzuleiten und so Wasserstreifen sowie mögliche Eisbildung an der Fahrzeugwand zu reduzieren. Dabei ist jedoch entscheidend, dass die jeweilige Ausführung des Kaminschilds zum vorhandenen Wandkamin passt.
Dass sich das Kaminschild bei Dir nur unter erheblichem Kraftaufwand einsetzen ließ und Du dabei eine deutliche Verengung der Luftführung festgestellt hast, nehmen wir sehr ernst. Eine solche Montage sollte keinesfalls erzwungen werden, da die Luft- und Abgasführung der Heizung nicht beeinträchtigt werden darf.
Wir können daher gut nachvollziehen, dass Du Dich unter diesen Umständen gegen die Verwendung entschieden hast.
