Product description
The Coleman Darwin 3 Plus is a quick to pitch dome tent, with extra storage space in the front area. The floor in the storage area can be optionally removed or inserted and has raised edges. The windows have covers, so you choose between light incidence and privacy, according to your needs!
With a pack size of 17 x 54 cm and a weight of 4.9 kg, the tent is easy to transport. The material is made of robust polyester, with a water column of 3000 mm, so they are well protected against wind and rain.
WeatherTec 3000/4000 - waterproof system
The waterproofness of a tent is measured by the so-called water column. If a tent has a water column of 3000/4000 mm*, it can hold a water column of 3/4 meter* on its surface before water penetrates.
The UK Ministry of Defense classifies a water column of 800 mm as waterproof.
Coleman uses polyethylene (PE) floor panels, which are relatively heavy but offer guaranteed water protection. PE groundsheets are ideal for family and activity tents where light weight and small pack size are not essential.

Fire retardant - safety first
The fire retardant property of our material ensures that the fabric will not flare up dangerously uncontrolled and extinguish itself, giving you time to escape in an emergency.
Fiberglass rods
Highly flexible and lightweight fiberglass poles ensure a good response to wind and storms.

The water column provides information about the material tightness. To determine the millimetre value, 10 cm of fabric is stretched under a measuring cylinder and the cylinder is filled with water from above. The limit value at which water droplets press through the material is the maximum water column. In Germany, a tent outer material is considered waterproof from 1500 mm.
