The Ryda 2Z gas stove has two powerful, infinitely adjustable burners with 2.3 kW output, an ignition safety device and piezo ignition for easy and safe cooking. The housing, cooking surface and pot stands are made of robust stainless steel for durability. It is easy to clean thanks to the integrated draft shield and stainless steel overflow protection tray. "When you hold the box in your hand, the first thing you notice is just how heavy it is. It feels SIGNIFICANTLY sturdier and higher quality than the classic “cheap” (though that’s not really true anymore these days) gas stoves. No sharp edges—everything is beautifully crafted. The performance is also wonderful. During the first few days of our vacation, my food regularly burned or boiled over because I hadn’t anticipated just how powerful the unit is. But of course, it’s still a long way from “real” gas stoves or even induction cooktops. Oh well. Great performance for on the go. I’m deducting one star for two reasons: 1. The lid is actually supposed to pop open on its own when you release the latch (spring mechanism). For some reason, that doesn’t work very well for us. On other models (tested in the store), the spring had significantly more “oomph.” But the issue is too minor for me to go through the trouble of returning the whole thing. 2. I love that I can attach the hose to the bottom of the unit. And there’s even a cutout for the gas pressure regulator, so I don’t have to keep disconnecting it. However, the cutout doesn’t fit the Campingaz 50 mbar gas pressure regulator, which is a real shame.
