It’s a shame that you weren’t convinced by the reliability of the measurement results. Especially when camping, it’s important to be able to estimate your remaining gas supply as reliably as possible so you don’t end up unexpectedly with an empty gas cylinder.
The Truma LevelCheck uses ultrasound to detect whether there is liquid gas in the cylinder at the respective measurement point. A green LED indicates that liquid gas has been detected, while a red LED signals that no liquid gas was detected at that point.
For the most reliable results, Truma recommends positioning the sensor head at a right angle to the gas cylinder and taking several measurements from bottom to top. It is also important to clean the measuring head with a damp cloth (without detergent) before use. Stickers, dirt, rust, or a particularly thick coat of paint on the gas cylinder can also affect the measurement.
If, despite following these instructions, you continue to receive inconsistent or incomprehensible measurement results, this should of course not be the case. After all, a level gauge must function reliably when used as intended.

Schade, dass Dich die Zuverlässigkeit der Messergebnisse nicht überzeugen konnte. Gerade beim Camping ist es wichtig, den verbleibenden Gasvorrat möglichst zuverlässig einschätzen zu können, um nicht unerwartet mit einer leeren Gasflasche dazustehen.
Der Truma LevelCheck arbeitet mit Ultraschall und erkennt, ob sich an der jeweiligen Messstelle Flüssiggas in der Flasche befindet. Dabei zeigt eine grüne LED an, dass Flüssiggas erkannt wurde, während eine rote LED signalisiert, dass an dieser Stelle kein Flüssiggas festgestellt werden konnte.
Für möglichst zuverlässige Ergebnisse empfiehlt Truma, den Messkopf im rechten Winkel an die Gasflasche anzusetzen und mehrere Messungen von unten nach oben durchzuführen. Wichtig ist außerdem, den Messkopf vor der Verwendung mit einem feuchten Tuch ohne Reinigungsmittel zu säubern. Auch Aufkleber, Verschmutzungen, Rost oder eine besonders dicke Lackschicht an der Gasflasche können die Messung beeinflussen.
Solltest Du trotz Beachtung dieser Anwendungshinweise weiterhin widersprüchliche oder nicht nachvollziehbare Messergebnisse erhalten, sollte das selbstverständlich nicht so sein. Schließlich muss ein Füllstandsmesser bei bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung zuverlässig funktionieren.
