Gordigear combined 25 years of experience in tent development and thousands of customer feedbacks from all over the world to develop the next evolutionary stage of folding roof tents, the Gordigear Daintree.
The name is a tribute to the national park of the same name in the north of Australia and for this product it was once again a top priority that the end result should withstand the extreme weather and climatic conditions of the red continent.
Whether extreme temperature fluctuations, heavy rain, wind, UV radiation or snow, with the Daintree you are optimally equipped - no matter where and when you are traveling.

The tent itself is made from genuine canvas, dip-impregnated and double-stitched and taped with German Amann thread.

A covered entrance provides sheltered access even in rainy weather. A wide panoramic window in the covered entrance area acts as an extractor hood and allows you to cook in the optional awning without steam and odors escaping through the sleeping area.

The high-quality construction of genuine canvas, aluminum and stainless steel offers market-leading quality, including storm struts developed in Germany. The newly developed floor consists of a honeycomb construction.
The specially incorporated air chambers result in unique insulating properties without cold bridges.

GORDIGEAR INNOVATION
The 25 mm thick, convex tent poles increase stability in strong winds and snow pressure by 65% compared to the standard market design and allow precipitation to run off more quickly.

The bright and friendly interior is also full of innovations, with four ventilation vents to reduce condensation and ensure excellent airflow, even in rainy weather.

GORDIGEAR INNOVATION

The vents can be closed individually and allow the use of a tent heater without heat loss through the ventilation openings.

The tropical roof provides an insulating layer of air above the tent, preventing heat build-up. Even in the blazing sun, the sauna effect familiar from conventional tents is prevented.

A unique feature of the Daintree is the tropical roof design: to keep the tent quiet even in windy conditions, the tropical roof fits snugly against the main tent to repel the wind, is fastened with 17 quick-release fasteners and is made from a very quiet and tear-resistant poly fabric with a ripstop weave.

The comfortable 80 mm foam mattress with removable cover, the vapor barrier developed by Gordigear and a 10 mm anti-condensation mat with additional cushioning ensure sleeping comfort just like in your own bed.

GORDIGEAR INNOVATION

The innovative window design is designed for maximum flexibility and stability. A two-part trapezoidal shape maximizes the window area for a bright interior. Each side window is split in two and can therefore be adapted precisely to the respective weather conditions.
The canvas brace between the window sides dissipates forces under extreme loads and provides additional stability.

Further features:

• flexible installation - the entrance can be attached to the side or above the rear of the vehicle
• both entrances are fitted with separate mosquito nets and covers
• Tent design allows storage of bedding or sleeping bags when folded up
• Telescopic ladder for car heights up to 2 m (can be extended as required using extension elements)
• Ladder with flat rungs can also be climbed barefoot
• hard-wearing travel cover made of 1000D polyvinyl chloride (PVC); zipper protects the contents from rain and dust and prevents the cover from inflating while driving
• Elastic bands support folding of the tent side walls
• Mosquito nets even offer protection from sand flies and the smallest mosquitoes
• four storage compartments keep the tent tidy
• universal fastening system compatible with most commercially available roof racks (please check the maximum permissible static and dynamic loads of your roof rack)
• Cable inlets on both sides

DAINTREE AWNING:
The Daintree awning takes rooftop awnings to the next level of development. Made from genuine canvas, it has all the features you would expect from a Gordigear awning, such as a removable floor, vehicle access via a rear hatch, insect protection and high quality materials.
So you can accommodate extra campers, store your gear or set up a changing room or camp shower without having to worry about the weather or your campsite neighbors.
But the Daintree awning can do so much more. Huge openings on all three sides can be used as doors or closed off completely so that the tent can be accessed from any direction.
A very handy feature if you are using a vehicle awning with your roof tent setup. The doors can also be set up as awnings (poles are included) and provide extra shade on sunny days. An ingenious design makes the awning height adjustable (between 185 cm and 205 cm).
Extensions are available for even higher installation heights. The panoramic window in the covered entrance area of the main tent is designed to vent hot air, which means that the awning area can now also be used as a place to cook without fumes entering the sleeping area.
Like all our products, the Daintree awning is ready for use in just a few minutes and, when not in use, it can be folded down to the size of a rucksack.
