Caravan Salon opens up new worlds
Under the theme "The Caravan Salon Opens New Worlds“, the show wants to demonstrate just how versatile mobile travel has become today. From compact entry-level vehicles and flexible campervans to luxurious motorhomes, visitors can directly compare numerous vehicle classes, floor plans and equipment concepts. The offering is rounded out by camping accessories, technical components, conversion parts, mobile homes, as well as information on travel destinations, campsites and motorhome parking areas.

More orientation through new themed areas
Given the huge variety of products, Caravan Salon 2026 is placing even greater emphasis on clearly structured themed worlds. One of the most important new features is a dedicated off-road area in Halls 16 and 17. There, the focus is on off-road-capable motorhomes and caravans, as well as solutions for self-sufficient and independent travel.
The growing rooftop tent trend also gets a much bigger stage. A standalone rooftop tent area is being set up in Hall 7a, featuring compact entry-level models, lightweight hard-shell tents and spacious family solutions. Many models can be viewed on site, and some can even be tried out.
The established themed areas remain a fixed part of the show. Equipment & Outdoor is located in Hall 3, Travel & Nature in Hall 7, and Technology & Components in Halls 13 and 14.
Accessories, technology and DIY conversions
New vehicles aren't the only focus in Düsseldorf. Especially for campers looking to retrofit or upgrade their existing vehicle, the show offers an extensive range of accessories. Visitors can find information on power supply, solar technology, batteries, air conditioning, water supply, security systems, camping furniture and outdoor equipment, among other things.
Individual vehicle conversions also play an important role once again. The special exhibition Adventure Self-Conversion is aimed at anyone looking to convert a van or other vehicle into a camper themselves. Individual conversion projects, daily talks and hands-on demonstrations show what matters most when it comes to planning, interior fit-out and technical equipment.
Support for caravanning newcomers
Anyone who hasn't yet had experience with motorhomes or caravans will find a central point of contact in the StarterWorld. Independent experts explain the differences between caravans, campervans, semi-integrated and fully integrated motorhomes, and help visitors find the right vehicle concept for them.
A particular focus is placed on driving with a caravan and tow vehicle combination. Using a hands-on setup, hitching and unhitching are demonstrated along with key basics for safe driving. In addition, the StarterWorld offers talks and interviews on vehicle choice, technology, rental options and getting started with mobile holidays.
Travel inspiration and a program for the whole family
The Caravan Salon sees itself not just as a product show, but as an experience. In the Dream Tours Cinema, experienced travelers share stories from their trips and offer inspiration for future destinations. There are also evening events featuring travel, outdoor and adventure stories. One of the highlights is the European Outdoor Film Tour on the second Friday of the show.
For children and teenagers, the AdventureCamp is offered on both weekends. Games, movement activities and hands-on offerings provide variety during the visit to the show. In addition, a children's rally organized by the German Hiking Association runs across the exhibition grounds.
Stay overnight right at the exhibition grounds
With the Caravan Center, the Caravan Salon offers its own overnight area for visitors with a motorhome or caravan. The site is located right next to the exhibition grounds and is complemented by shuttle connections, catering, a marquee and an entertainment program.
Pitches can only be booked after purchasing a ticket for the show. Early booking is especially recommended for the weekends.
Preview Day, admission prices and opening hours
On Friday, August 28, 2026, the Caravan Salon kicks off with Preview Day. Thanks to the limited ticket allocation, visitors can discover the new products in a quieter atmosphere and compare vehicles in more detail.
