MPPT solar charge controller SX PRO 20 A
The MPPT charge controller is the ideal solution to maximize the efficiency of your solar system. It continuously adjusts the voltage of the solar modules to the optimum operating point and thus increases the energy yield by up to 30 % compared to conventional PWM controllers. A particular advantage is that it gives the battery a longer service life through precise charging. The solar charge controller is compatible with various battery types such as lithium, AGM and gel batteries.

12 V parallel connection of several batteries
Any number of batteries of the same brand, type, age, capacity and state of charge can be connected in parallel to increase the capacity.

24 V/ 36 V/ 48 V series or series connection of several batteries
A maximum of 4 batteries (48V) of the same brand, type, age, capacity and state of charge can be connected in series to increase the output voltage.
Customer questions
Is the battery also suitable as a starter battery?
The Berger LiFePO4 battery is primarily designed for deep-cycle applications such as solar storage, motorhomes or on-board power supply. It is not intended for use as a starter battery, as starter batteries have different requirements in terms of short-term current and cold behavior. For optimum function and a long service life, we recommend using it as a supply or body battery.
Is the battery compatible with conventional chargers for AGM or gel batteries?
The Berger LiFePO4 battery is optimized for operation with LiFePO4-compatible chargers. Many modern chargers can be set to a lithium or LiFePO4 mode and can therefore be used without any problems. Conventional AGM or gel chargers without a suitable lithium characteristic curve may result in incomplete charging or reduced performance and service life. For the best possible performance, maximum safety and full capacity utilization, we therefore recommend using a charger with explicit LiFePO4 approval. Many high-quality chargers for AGM or gel batteries have a lithium mode or are approved for LiFePO4 batteries according to the manufacturer. Please check the charger manufacturer's specifications.
When is the battery heater activated?
The heating function is activated automatically as soon as the battery temperature is ≤ 0 °C during the charging process. At this point, the BMS (battery management system) interrupts the charging process and gives priority to the heating. As soon as the temperature reaches +5 °C, the charging process continues automatically. If the temperature rises above 10 °C, the heating function is deactivated.
Does my charger need to be converted?
In many cases, no conversion is necessary. Many modern AGM or gel chargers have a lithium or LiFePO4 mode or can be set accordingly. If your charger does not offer a setting, we recommend using a LiFePO4-enabled charger in order to utilize the full capacity and service life of the battery.
