Mandatory for vehicles over 3.5 t in France since 01.01.2021!
It does not matter whether it is a truck, van or camper. Everything that is above this weight limit must have the blind spot sticker attached to the vehicle in 3 specified places from now on. The law does not differentiate between domestic and foreign vehicles. It's all about protecting cyclists and pedestrians in blind spots! RV drivers should use the stickers with the bus.
Below are the instructions on how to affix them to the vehicle:
- Vehicle front
vertically At a height between 0.9 and 1.5 metres, horizontally within the first metre from the front of the vehicle - Rear of vehicle
vertically At a height of between 0.9 and 1.5 metres, horizontally on the right-hand side of the vehicle
