Product description

From the contents
Introduction, fishing possibilities, equipment, fish and their habitats, fishing success, care and preparation of the catch, glossary, literature.

about the authors
Harald Barth, born in 1953, has traveled to almost all European countries as well as North America, Canada, and Alaska by canoe, hitchhiking, and motorhome. On these journeys he was also able to expand his already twenty years of fishing experience and acquire knowledge about fishing opportunities in other countries. In addition, his enthusiasm for fishing and his knowledge of the subject found expression in numerous articles for fishing magazines

At the tender age of three, Ronald Metzger accompanied his father on carp stalks at the Gröberweiher and on pike and grayling fishing trips in the Sempt near Munich. His enthusiasm for fishing was not dampened by an involuntary swim in the pond, which could have ended his career as an author at an early stage. In addition, he enjoys camping, mountain hiking, cycling and canoeing, ornithology and has a great interest in everything that flies and crawls.

Brief description
Fishing is a popular sport, connects us with nature and has a calming effect - if you can do it! In this OutdoorHandbook, the authors provide important information and tips on all kinds of angling (spinning, float fishing, bottom fishing, fly fishing and sea angling)

In order to enable even the occasional angler to be successful, they provide the reader with basic knowledge about the right equipment, common baits and fishing methods as well as the way of life of the fish. Furthermore, they present fishing opportunities all over the world (North America, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, etc.), provide information about laws and regulations, and give addresses of tourist offices and fishing associations. In order to enjoy a delicious fish meal, the authors give tips on the proper handling of the prey, preparation and storage.
