Fothermo Switching Device for Photovoltaic Water Heaters – Harness Excess Energy
With the Fothermo SWD-800 Switching Device, you automatically feed excess electricity into your home’s electrical system as soon as your photovoltaic water heater is heated. A plug-and-play micro-PV inverter utilizes up to 3.5 kWh per day, ensuring that no energy is wasted. Up to 800 Wp can be connected, with a maximum of 600 W fed into the grid.
The unit automatically switches PV modules and also allows for energy storage in the water heater as well as feeding into the home’s electrical grid, even with existing balcony power systems. An integrated display shows you the status of all connected loads. Installation is simple using screws and screw terminals. The device is compatible with many micro-PV inverters rated below 60 V, particularly those from Hoymiles, Envertech, or Deye. Growatt inverters are not compatible. The micro-inverter is sold separately.
