With the horntools Elements Gen II roof tent in the 165 cm Midnight Stone version, you can use a compact but spacious 3-person folding roof tent for camping and overlanding tours that combines stability, comfort and reliability. The dark grey Midnight Stone design with black roof tent frame blends harmoniously into alpine landscapes and rocky terrain and is ideal when you're out and about in rugged nature. The tent is mounted on platform racks or classic crossbars and is compatible with all common roof rack systems. A sufficiently high dynamic roof load and a roof load of at least 70.5 kg are important in order to carry the tent weight safely.
You are weatherproof thanks to the 300 g/m² canvas tent fabric with polyurethane coating made from 35% cotton and 65% polyester as well as the rain cover made from 210D Oxford with polyurethane coating, with a water column of 2000 mm on the main tent and 3000 mm on the fly sheet. Sleeping comfort is ensured by the revised 8 cm cold foam/memory foam mattress, supplemented by the Anti Sweat 3D mesh carpet pad, which improves air circulation and reduces moisture.
Two Sky View skylights give you a clear view into the night and can be completely darkened, while the integrated LED interior lighting can be controlled via a dimmer switch and offers three light colors. Getting in and out of the vehicle is easy with the modern black 2.6 m telescopic ladder, as it is adjustable in length and also fits vehicles with increased ground clearance. Gen II also features a practical cover roll-up for quick stowing of the cover, a new reinforced telescopic pole for the canopy for more stability in rain and snow, blacked-out tent fabric for more privacy, black guy poles, an all-black roof tent frame and a reinforced aluminum honeycomb floor.
All openings such as the entrance, side windows and skylight are fitted with mosquito nets, while 12 side pockets and the shoe pocket help you to keep the interior tidy. Assembly on the roof rack takes approx. 60 minutes, all parts and tools except the roof rack are included, and you can optionally add a color-coordinated awning in Midnight Stone with a zipper, for example as a changing room or additional storage space.
