Modern vehicles have a low but constant battery consumption. Many of the electrical systems are permanently active, even when the ignition is switched off. Alarm systems, immobilizers and lock monitoring are examples of systems that run in the background and can drain the battery even when the vehicle is not in use. The OSP500 / OSP1000 / OPS2000 has a solar-powered battery maintenance function for 12 V vehicles. This is a low carbon and more environmentally friendly way to maintain your vehicle battery when not in use. Ideal for seasonal vehicles such as caravans, classic cars and motorcycles. Supplied with DC plug and battery terminals, works in overcast conditions and is IP 65 waterproof. Reverse polarity protection prevents damage if the clamps are connected to the wrong battery terminals.
