The Tara 1 from Tambu is your compact, lightweight tent for solo tours - ideal for trekking, bikepacking or motorcycle trips. It is stable, quick to pitch and offers a high level of comfort with clever details such as an optional tarp canopy and additional storage space in the head area. The sustainable outer tent made from recycled polyester (rPET) is waterproof, robust and free from perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances. Weighing just 2.0 kg, the tent remains light enough for longer tours and reliably protects you in any weather.

The water column provides information about the material tightness. To determine the millimetre value, 10 cm of fabric is stretched under a measuring cylinder and the cylinder is filled with water from above. The limit value at which water droplets press through the material is the maximum water column. In Germany, a tent outer material is considered waterproof from 1500 mm.
