The Separett Tiny is a composting toilet designed specifically for tiny homes and other small spaces, such as camper vans, RVs, boats, garden sheds, etc. All you need for installation is a 12 V or 110–240 V power connection and a 50 mm pipe for ventilating the toilet.

Ideal for smaller spaces: Tiny is the newest addition to the Separett family. The simple and flexible design of the Separett Tiny is the result of many years of developing separation toilets and offers the perfect fit for spaces with limited room.

Closed system: This model in the Tiny series contains both liquid waste and solid waste in two separate containers. If the toilet is used in a permanent residence by two people, the solid waste collection container must be emptied once a week. The urine canister must be emptied 2–3 times a week. Thanks to the urine canister’s sensor-based fill-level indicator, the Separett logo on the toilet lights up red when it needs to be emptied.

Hygienic and odorless: You can relyon the Tiny Toilet thanks to its high operational reliability, and its installation is a breeze. The faint odor that occurs despite urine separation is vented outside by the fan, and constant air circulation creates a better indoor environment. The fan operates quietly and effectively. The fan achieves maximum effectiveness with continuous use.

Privacy Screen: The privacy screen conceals the solid waste in the container and slides open automatically when you sit down to use the toilet. This way, you only see the waste when you empty the container.

User Instructions: Alwayssit down when using the toilet. Position yourself slightly further back than you normally would so that urine can be separated from solid waste. The privacy screen slides open automatically as soon as you sit down. Toilet paper goes into the same container as the solid waste.

How it works: The Tiny separation toilet separates urine from solid waste and is equipped with a fan that extracts moisture and air. This creates an odor-free environment. This model from the Tiny series collects both urine and solid waste inside the toilet, with the solid waste ending up in a compostable waste bag made from cornstarch. The urine is collected in a canister. If the toilet is used continuously in a two-person household, the waste container for solid waste must be emptied once a week, and the urine canister 2–3 times a week. The urine canister is equipped with a sensor-based fill-level indicator that causes the Separett logo on the toilet to light up red when it’s time to empty it.

Toilet Placement: The Separett Tiny works equally well in both cold and warm rooms, regardless of the room temperature. The only requirements are that the urine can be drained and a vent pipe can be installed.
The toilet must be placed on the floor against a wall. For extra stability, it should be secured either to the floor, the wall, or both.

Drill holes as described in the installation template: The included installation template shows you the possible options for installing the urine drain and vent pipes through the wall behind the toilet or through the floor. These options allow for installation without visible pipes.

Vent Pipe Installation: The toilet is designed for 50 mm pipes (outer diameter). For optimal performance, we recommend using the Separett installation kit, which includes pipes and fittings in the correct sizes. The Separett Tiny can be installed with up to 5 m of vent pipes and two 90° bends. Ventilation can be routed to the outside through a wall, the floor, the roof, or a suitable side of the house. If a vent pipe from a previous toilet installation is already present, the toilet can be connected to it,
provided the existing pipe is no smaller than 50 mm and meets the requirements. If you need a longer pipe that exceeds the recommendations above, you can install an additional vent (item number 13008). The toilet comes with an adapter to connect the 40 cm long 50 mm pipe to a 1.5-inch pipe.

Installation of the urine drain: The toilet comes with a 2-meter urine hose. To connect this to the toilet, use the straight connector or the 90° connector. As with the installation of the vent pipes, it is possible to install the urine hose so that no pipe is visible. This is achieved by angling the 90° connector downward or by using the straight connector.

Maintenance and Cleaning: The Separett Tiny should be cleaned with a mild detergent. The toilet is made of dense, high-gloss polypropylene, which can be scratched by harsh cleaning agents. We recommend using our organic drain cleaner to reduce the formation of urine scale in the urine canister. The fan must run continuously to prevent odors in the bathroom. Rinse the filter in the ventilation duct regularly with water to ensure proper ventilation.
