Victron Energy Smart Battery Sense long range voltage and temperature sensor 10 m

The Smart Battery Sense is a wireless battery voltage and temperature sensor for Victron MPPT solar chargers.

With a voltage and temperature sensor, batteries are charged better, charging efficiency is improved and battery life is extended.

The charging of the battery is improved
By measuring the voltage directly at the terminals of the battery bank, errors due to a voltage loss caused by cable resistance are avoided. In this way, the correct charging voltage is ensured.

For lead-acid batteries, the battery temperature data is used to adjust the charging voltages: cold batteries require a higher charging voltage, while hot batteries require a lower charging voltage. For lithium batteries, the temperature data is used to interrupt charging when the batteries are too cold: Charging lithium batteries at temperatures around freezing or below will permanently damage the cells.

No wiring
The connection between the Smart Battery Sense and one or more solar charger(s) is wireless. A VE.Smart Network is used - a wireless technology based on the Bluetooth Smart function.

The transmitted data can be used simultaneously by one, two or more solar charger(s) connected to the same 12 V, 24 V or 48 V battery bank. The Smart Network is set up using the VictronConnect app.

Neat, simple - smart
Installation is simple, fast and neat. Simply attach the device's two cable lugs to the battery terminals and mount the Smart Battery Sense device directly on the battery with its self-adhesive strip.
