Accurate measurement of the on-board voltage brings safety, as the battery voltage can provide initial information about the state of charge of the battery. Damaging deep discharges of the on-board battery are also detected immediately and can be remedied by immediate charging. Abnormally strong voltage drops during consumer operation usually indicate an aged battery. excessive charging by unregulated chargers or other unsuitable charging sources can be detected and thus avoided.
