Bivy sack

A bivy sack is a windproof and waterproof bag that you use like an outer protective cover around your sleeping bag. You put your sleeping bag in the bivy sack and could thus also spend the night outdoors in extreme temperatures. Because wind, snow and rain can then no longer harm your sleeping bag. A bivy sack is practical, but only really necessary in extreme situations.
