Camping Toilet
The camping toilet is a mobile toilet that can be used independently of sanitary facilities on the campsite. Camping toilets are either permanently installed in the motorhome or caravan or available as a movable toilet seat with a waste-holding tank.
Chemical camping toilets use chemical additives in the waste-holding tank which minimise odours and decompose faeces. Dry toilets instead of a chemical solution, have solids such as peat or wood shavings which bind faeces and urine as well as the odours they produce.
The waste-holding tank of camping toilets must be emptied at suitable disposal stations for this purpose.
