With the Thunder Bay Texapore, you can master any surface. The Vibram Arctic Grip sole offers the best grip on all surfaces - especially on wet ice and slippery paths - thanks to the sophisticated combination of sole elements made from a proven winter rubber compound for low temperatures and special rubber and fiberglass lugs. The winter shoe is lined with very warm and soft Primaloft fleece. It keeps your feet warm on the move down to -40 °C. A waterproof, sustainable and breathable Texapore Ecosphere membrane sits under the grippy nubuck leather of the shoe.

Primaloft
Insulation & fabrics from PrimaLoft: Warm - dry - soft - durable. A synthetic alternative to down: ultra-fine, naturally water-repellent fibers, mostly made of polyester, regulate the temperature and ensure well-being and comfort. The thin, soft PrimaLoft fibers form a particularly durable synthetic fiber filling and can withstand many washes and the stresses and strains of various activities. As the fibers are much finer than other synthetic insulation materials, they can store more air and can be compressed smaller. This is why down-like padding is mainly used to insulate jackets.

Vibram
This sole construction was developed exclusively for Jack Wolfskin shoes in cooperation with the renowned Italian manufacturer VIBRAM®. The result is a robust, abrasion-resistant rubber shoe sole with maximum comfort. Particularly suitable for alpine terrain.

Texapore Ecophere Pro
Our breathable, recycled high-performance weather protection material. Twice as breathable and an even better water column: the completely recycled Texapore Ecophere Pro membrane made from 100% polyester is the sustainable option for your weather protection and consumes less CO2 during production. With Texapore Ecophere Pro, you are ideally equipped for particularly demanding challenges and weather conditions. Completely windproof, particularly waterproof and highly breathable. The outer material, membrane and lining are completely recycled. The outer material: The outer material is made from recycled PET bottles and is completely PFC-free. The membrane: zero waste! Our membrane is made from offcuts from production. This means there is no more waste.
