Product description
The innovative SwissPiranha Snow and Sand Anchor is made of sturdy, highly flexible PiranhaXT and allows for quick anchoring with high pull-out resistance in soft surfaces such as sand or snow. With a 20 cm blade length, the SSA offers more holding power than comparable snow anchors, yet weighs only 43 g—just half as much! Its PiranhaXT plastic remains elastic even at low temperatures (-50 °C) and prevents the anchor from “thawing out” of the snow—as happens with conventional aluminum anchors when exposed to sunlight.
Here’s how it works: Use a shovel to dig a “T” shape into the surface, insert the SwissPiranha SSA at an angle of 30 to 45°, and compact the surface by tapping lightly with the shovel—done!
