CDS POWER LINE solar modules are far less sensitive to partial shading than all conventional solar modules due to a new type of interconnection technology.

Especially in the mobile area, this results in a higher yield if - depending on the location - it cannot be avoided that branches, a mounted roof box, the SAT system or an open skylight partially shade the solar module. In order to guarantee an extremely high performance level, 44 selected high-performance cells are installed in each CDS module. Each individual cell is additionally wired with a special cell diode to ensure that the highest possible power output can be realized even when the solar module is partially shaded. As with all other solar modules, we also use special front glazing for the CDS series. This guarantees optimal performance under direct light irradiation and at the same time improves the current yield under diffuse light conditions and at flat irradiation angles
Since CDS solar modules are constructed with 44 high-performance cells, an MPP solar controller should always be used. This guarantees an optimal yield due to the increased output voltage of the CDS modules in every area of application, even in unfavorable weather conditions.

Like all MT solar modules, the CDS POWER LINE series has been specially developed for touring vehicles and adapted to their particular requirements. As already explained for the BLACK LINE series, this effort is necessary when solar modules are operated in mobile use. On the one hand, this concerns the mechanical and the special thermal conditions. For example, internal cell connectors must be able to compensate for vibrations over many years and be designed for much higher temperatures due to roof mounting, above the vehicle insulation. The requirements for frame construction are also different from those for normal standard modules. On the one hand, the frames must be torsion-resistant in order to protect the upper glass panel, and on the other hand, it must be ensured that any superstructure movements that occur are compensated for. To ensure years of operational reliability, a pressurized water-tight junction box is mounted on the back, into which no moisture can penetrate even at high speeds.

Each system is equipped with high quality individual components in a high quality finish. All MT CDS POWER LINE solar modules are of the absolute highest quality workmanship and, with partial
Shading compared to all other solar modules clearly in the performance advantage.
The solar modules are mounted on TÜV-certified brackets. These are glued to the vehicle roof with the enclosed adhesive set (tested and approved by TÜV). The outer cable is UV-safe and, like the cable set in the interior, resistant to all environmental influences. The cable connection to the interior is routed through a pressurized water-tight cable bushing.

The cabling is designed in such a way that the individual system can be subsequently extended by a solar module of the same power at any time. equipped with an EBL connection cable set and therefore state of the art.
