SwissPiranha has taken environmental friendliness very seriously: Production is located in Switzerland and plastics are used as raw material, which require only a fraction of energy than conventional aluminum. In the BlackFisk series romp tent pegs made from 100% recycled plastic - Made in Switzerland!
Of course, recycled pegs offer many serious advantages over conventional metal pegs: they are ultra-light, super-safe and also protect the environment. This recycled plastic peg is also forgiving of being hammered in with a hammer, axe or stone - there are no sharp edges to damage the tent fabric. Since SwissPiranha tent pegs are completely sunk into the ground at a 90° angle, the risk of injury is reduced to zero. Dirty pegs can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Best of all, to completely close the loop on recyclables, retired BlackFisk pegs are recycled by SwissPiranha.
